Inclusive festive event for whole family
A festive inclusive community event for the whole family is being held at St Martin’s Parish Centre in Victoria Avenue, Worcester on Saturday (December 8).
The Christmas Peace and Friendship Party, being run by St Martin’s Church in association with Worcester Mosque and the Rotary Club of Worcester South, takes place from noon until 2pm.
People attending are asked to bring a plate of food to share to make new friends. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be provided.
Children will be invited to make Christmas tree decorations, which will be taken to St Martin’s Church at the end of the party and put on a tree in the Festival of Christmas Trees.
Everyone is welcome to visit the church to see the trees, which are provided and decorated by church organisations, users of the parish centre, local schools and businesses.
Donations to Worcester Foodbank, including money or Christmas goodies will be particularly welcome, including alcohol-free Christmas puddings and cakes, tinned meat, savoury crackers and festive treats.
